OH Betty.....

Hello! Hello! I'm not even sure there is anyone still out there. *snicker*

Flat Betty took a bit of "Maternity leave" with me this winter. We searched the internet for a worthy cause for 2009. Didn't find anything too exciting that would also get our Hostesses involved....and the economy just got worse and worse. There are so many people losing their jobs and having a hard time making ends meet that we decided to take a different course for 2009.

Flat Betty is on Haitus for now. We didn't want to put anymore financial strain on others as she was shipped around and collected your generous donations, etc.

For now she will stay here and help me raise my newest bundle and see where 2009 takes our nation, financially. If you have any wonderful ideas for next years Charity or organization please leave a comment.

Trip - Mexico!!!!!!!!!

Flat Betty returned back home this weekend after a wonderful Trip to Mexico! It was pretty exciting as this was Betty's first trip out of the country. She was a bit nervous, as was I, but the trip went off without a hitch! She visited a farming family in Mexico and got a good taste of farm life! You MUST check out her adventures and other pictures! Betty had a GREAT time and arrived back home with the cutest surprise! She came home toting the tiniest little bag she had created with her hostess. How darling is that??????

Betty has been...............

Hello all! Flat Betty has been out and about traveling this summer! She is currently on her way back and would LOVE to come and visit YOU!!!!

Show Flat Betty the local sites, take her on vacation with you or simply just show her around your crafty studio! It's all up to you! And because Flat Betty is just more than a pretty faced paper doll let's not forget her charity! Each hostess contributes at least 1 pair of new Pajama's (size infant to age 17) and/or a new storybook for the Pajama Program. OR you can host a Pajama party drive/event and get your whole neighborhood involved in giving back and have lots of fun in the process!

This little Betty went to Quilt Market.....

I got so busy blogging about MY experiences at quilt market that Betty never got a chance to show off her fun time there as well!

Flat Betty and I headed off to the Portland Spring Quilt Market in Style of Course! Nothing like an Amy Butler carry-on to set the mood for the fabric extravaganza we were in for!

Flat Betty and I hit the Fabric 2.0 party that evening hosted by Michael Miller Fabrics and J Caroline Creative.

Before heading out the next day for interviews at quilt market, our favorite Boutique podcaster, Daria of Boutique Cafe warmed up her voice and interview skills with Betty! We love you DARIA!

And every girl has to pay attention to her figure right? Flat Betty wasn't shy when it came to diggin' into the yummies they had available in the press room. She also made sure Megan kept that bun in the oven safe and fed too! ;)

And it wasn't all work and no play for Flat Betty! She did the downtown shopping with the all the girls too! Here's her first time ever stepping foot inside a Nordstrom Rack:

and Flat Betty loves a good knock off for cheap! She delved into the accessories with me while browsing Forever 21:

Flat Betty topped off her trip with not one but two trips to Macaroni Grill to eat and gab with the girls! Thanks Portland for a great trip!

Flat Betty and the Girl Scouts!!

Flat Betty is back out and Traveling around again!! She has just reported in from Oklahoma where she attended a PJ party event with a Girl Scout troop there. What a fabulous group with big hearts! They were so excited to have Betty come visit them and also excited to participate in rounding up PJ's for Betty cause.

It's always BIGGER in Texas!

yeehaw!!!! Flat Betty has just reported on another fabulous trip and is heading back home. She's just spent a few wonderful weeks with my dear friends Nikki and Terry of Ragazza Bella Couture! They showed her how to have a good time while in Texas and lived up every moment! Betty was able to do SO many things too! you have to hop on over to their blog and check out all the fun! Oprah and Flat Betty

Oprah is all about Giving Big right now! did you catch her new show this past Sunday night? She wants everyone to have GIVE BIG parties on Sunday night with your friends and Flat Betty and I thought what a wonderful way to incorporate collecting PJ's for Betty's cause!!! Want to give BIG? Betty arrived TODAY from visiting Sandi Henderson and I ripped open that package so FAST, grabbed the guest book and flipped it open to the page where Sandi signed and also put 3 swatched from her strike offs from her next line! *gasp* it's simply........................wow...................ummmm...................gorgeous.....................love it......................oh heck! what can I say!!!!!! it's wonderful Sandi! I wouldn't ever want to spill a surprise that she hasn't revealed yet - after all it is HER fabric!So I am posting a picture of what she wrote under the fabric swatches. Did you catch her oh so chic sticker too? Too great! thanks again Sandi!!!!

Another Trip under Flat Betty's belt! She was privileged to get to hang out with Sandi Henderson, a friend and FABULOUS fabric designer! Her first fabric line Ginger Blossom is just hitting the stores with another line soon to be debuted and GUESS WHAT!!!!????? she included samples of the new top secret line in Betty's Guest book! woohooo! Betty hasn't actually arrived back home yet but I am very eager to crack that book open and take a peek at the new line!
